Motswatemeng High School in the North West is the latest recipient of a Samsung Electronics solar-powered Internet classroom facility.

Microsoft SA exhibits classroom of the future

Microsoft South Africa in partnership with the Cape Town Science Centre showcased the Microsoft ‘classroom of the future' at the indaba held on 24 and 25 March 2017. The interactive exhibition revealed the latest educational tools available to teachers today as well as provided attendees with an insight into the evolution of the classroom, along with the new approaches to learning such as gamification that will help teachers challenge, inspire and engage their students.

Entries for the annual GIC2017 open

Entries for the annual Global Impact Challenge (GIC) for 2017 are officially open for entrepreneurs, leaders, scientists and engineers from southern Africa countries. The Southern Africa GIC is said to be a platform where South Africans with innovative ideas which would address humanity's greatest challenges through the use of technology can be found.
